Claude Gerard Forgét

1955 to 2014

We celebrate the life of Claude Gerard Forgét. He had a generous, kind, and loving heart. In addition to an incredible work ethic, he could fix anything and could climb a tree faster than anyone you've ever met.

He was smart and loved jazz, and he appreciated the little things in life, like the shape of a leaf or the color of cranberry juice when you held it up to the light. Some would say he was a simple man, content to take a walk, tinker with his truck in the garage, or simply be alone with his thoughts.

He didn't prefer to be around people often, but he was gentle and soft spoken with them and genuinely interested in what they had to say. He was sincere and soaked up knowledge like a sponge, always learning, always asking questions.

He had a great dry sense of humor, and when he smiled, he smiled with his whole face and his whole heart. You couldn't help but smile with him.

He was born in October, his favorite month.

He would be happy to know that he was loved by so many. He is greatly missed every day.

Shared by his daughter, Nicole Arellano-Forget, founder of the Suicide Loss Memorial Foundation.
